Among Us took the world by storm:

10 individuals in a spaceship, trying to repair the damages while one or more of them tries to sabotage their efforts and kill each one of them without letting them find out. This may sound like a movie plot, but this is about the game Among Us that has recently taken the world by storm.

A lot of games are released but only a few manage to reach the top of the charts. Online multiplayer video games are taking over the gaming industry steadily as they are more engaging and perhaps addictive. But what makes the game, Among Us so popular?

It is developed by a three-person team at the company, InnerSloth, and was launched in the year 2018. But only recently, this game saw a rapid increase in its user base and attracted more than 85 million users in about 6 months. In this game, up to 10 players may participate and in the beginning, you are told if you are the ‘crew member’ or the ‘imposter.’ If you are the crew member, you are given a certain number of tasks to complete and if you are the imposter you have to sabotage the tasks of the crew and kill its members one by one before they finish all their tasks or find out that you are the imposter. There can be up to 3 imposters and if you are one, you may coordinate with the others and work together.

If a person discovers a body, they may call a meeting in which the people can discuss if they have any suspects. If the majority of the ones alive agree to one person being the imposter they can vote them out of the spaceship. When they are voted out, it will be shown if they were the imposter or not.

This game has been made to keep people engaged and on their toes. It makes it all the while more fun and addictive and makes it a good source of spending time with your friends and family or even entirely unknown people.
