Do all brands need to constantly adapt to the trends of the market and go with the flow?

Brands and companies are institutions of manufacturing services and/or products to meet the needs of people. With times changing and people evolving, brands needs to meet the changing needs and wants of people too in order to stay relevant and in business along with maintaining a loyal consumer base which gets their needs met by them. If the needs of the people are certain products and services because of being influenced by situation but the brand is unable to provide them with them or satisfy those needs then the consumers will move to another source that very easily can.

Trends of the market are defined by demands of the people and the situation where financial buying decisions play a big role too. Evolving and revised global marketing practices and trends follow things that are most effective in reaching their consumer base and serving them best. Market trends are followed so that an entity can get the maximum benefit out of their marketing planning and strategy that goes behind introduction of a product or a service. So if a market trend is outdated and there are new ways that cab achieve the goal in a better way, following the old and unrevised ways will only mean not tapping into the full potential of the marketing strategy and hence losing out on not only customers but also money that goes into strategising in the first place.

Now that the world is in a pandemic, its only logical for the market trends to be adapting new ways to meet the needs of people in a pandemic situation. If a brand is to follow the market trend from back when the world was to disrupted by a sudden onset of COVID19 then they will not be meeting the needs of their customers who are now living in a COVID affected world.

It is very necessary for brands to keep up with market trends in order to stay relevant and in the game or they fear losing t their competition who can be utilising the market trends to cut down on costs while making communication easier simply by following the demands of the people.
