Fun games you can play with your pets!

1. Play with a Flirt pole

A flirt pole (also known as a flirt stick) is a long pole with a rope attached to the end. There’s a lure at the end of the rope that’s used to get your dog to chase. Flirt poles provide great exercise, and they are mentally stimulating. They’re a way to let your dog use its natural prey drive in a non-destructive way and they’re also great for practicing some basic impulse control, such as letting go to command.

2. Play Tug of War with your dog

Tug is by far the favorite game of any dog. It’s fun, it’s engaging, it’s great exercise, and it’s a good way for dogs to practice their manners. If you spent a lot of time training with your dog, a tug toy can be one of the most motivating rewards. Just remember to follow this basic rule when playing the tug – the game stops if your dog’s teeth touch your skin.

3. Play with a Frisbee

Frisbee is another fun game to play with your dog. Frisbee is an advanced game of fetch because it encourages your dog to hunt for long distances. Frisbee is a great exercise game, and it’s a lot of fun for dogs that have a natural drive to chase.

4. Chase bubbles with your dog

One of the most fun games to play with your dog is to teach them to chase bubbles. If your dog doesn’t know how to chase bubbles, you should start blowing a few at a time, point them out, and encourage them to hunt. Catch some of the bubbles to show your dog that there’s nothing to worry about and that the whole point of the game is to get them before they touch the ground.

5. Play a game of ‘Find the Treat’

“Find the treat” is super easy to play, and the best part is that your dog will never get sick of it. Find the treats, like all other nose work games, are mentally stimulating and a fun way to let our dogs use their natural sniffing abilities.
