Great ideas to save your baking fails.

The global pandemic has encouraged many people to learn how to bake, and budding bakers are looking over the internet for different hacks and better techniques. During the beginner’s phase, it is common to make mistakes and have failures. Here are some ways to save your bake fail:

  1. Cookies gone wrong? Overcooked cookies are difficult to deal with, but don’t throw them off. Grind them, add in butter and this delicious mixture makes a great cheesecake or pudding base!
  2. Cracked Cheesecake? Pour sour cream on the top to hide the cracks, and add in jam to decorate, bake for 15 minutes and no one will ever know about its dreadful past.
  3. Oh no! Your cake sticks in the pan? This could happen if the pan is not greased properly before pouring the cake batter. Well, now it cannot be made into a cake, but can be turned into beautiful cake pops! Just crumb out the cake, add in icing and mold into bite-sized shapes, drizzle with melted chocolate, add sprinkles on top, and it is good to go!
  4. Are Underfilled cupcakes not fluffing out? Stack them on top of each other in a jar, fill it with icing on top and your on-the-go cake jars are ready!
  5. Messed up cake? Just crumb it out, add milk, spread out the gooey mixture on a plastic wrap, and add in icing. Then roll it up and top it off with melted chocolate. Dive into a delicious dessert right away!
  6. Greasing with butter, not enough? Add a small amount of cocoa powder to butter and lather it around the pan well, this works as a quick release for the cake.
  7. Eggs and flour everywhere while whisking? A simple hack to avoid it is to use a paper plate, shove it through the whisk so it covers the top of the vessel and catches and crumbs if they fly around.

Happy Baking!
