Is spending too much time with each other negatively affecting family relationships?

With the upsurge of the crisis, people are not allowed to step out of their houses and they are spending more time indoors with their family. This was meant to have a positive impact as, usually, it was difficult for everyone to spend quality time with their family.

There are many changes that families are trying to cope up with like work from home, online classes for the kids, and so on. The major task is online classes. Making your kid understand the lessons, making sure they are concentrating, helping them in their projects, and homework has become a tedious task. The increase in domestic chores has caused many issues for the female members of the family. When work isn’t divided equally in a family or if some members are unwilling to contribute, it can lead to minor fights and rifts. But that’s normal as long as the family manages to sit down, talk about it and sort it out.

In this period of crisis, everyone is enjoying their time by playing board games, watching a movie or series together, and have ample time to strengthen their familial bonds. However, it is also true that they are getting less personal time and with the pressure of the pandemic causing uncertainty about the future has harmed a lot of people. Sometimes, this pressure leads us to fights with our family since they are the only people we have been seeing on a day-to-day basis. Having said that, at large, people are still enjoying their time with family which is also helping them get closer and stay strong in these tough times.
