It can be quite a task for new brands and new businesses to make an identity for themselves in the already existing pool of brands. It is tricky as creating individuality isn’t as easy as it seems. It takes a lot of research, hard-work, the need to constantly experiment, and thorough determination. But we are forgetting one of the most important things on which a lot of potential consumers depend, the need for choosing the right platform and right channel for your content.

When you are advertising the brand, the platform and the channel on which you advertise makes a lot of difference. For example, you cannot advertise a phone on the radio, as consumers would want to have a look at the phone and its features. You can use a TV or even digital media as your channel, and it would attract a large audience. 

First and foremost, it is important to understand the product that you are advertising thoroughly, as it the factor on which the channel will depend. Establish your goals and how you want to advertise the product. Then move on to choosing the target audience. A lot of marketing and advertising depends on the target audience, as they will decide if the product will be well-received or not. If your target audience is mothers, then TV will be the best channel as most mothers use it a lot. And if talking about social media, Facebook will be the one you must advertise on as they are more comfortable on Facebook than Instagram, Twitter or any other social media platform.

There are a lot of channels available now that we are technically growing and advancing but that doesn’t mean that we have lost complete touch with the traditional media or the physical world. Newspapers, billboards, TV are all just as much used as digital media. Hence it is important to cater to all these forms as well. Yes, digital media is growing at a fast pace, but traditional media isn’t gone or forgotten. Making a proper budget and distributing it well according to the content and the channel proves to be very important. For example, the advertisement that one puts in the newspaper cannot be the same as on TV or digital media. It all depends on how the content flows and in which platform does the content fit best. It needs to be examined properly by the advertiser.

There are a lot of brands and businesses available in the market, but not every one of them succeeds. The way the brand is advertised garners a lot of attention from the viewers, and it all depends on the way the content is created and showcased on the channel.
