You’ll be surprised how much these celebrities earned this year even after their deaths!

Be it through their estates, record labels, or a welfare organisation set up in their name, the money of some of these top-netting late famous people are still getting siphoned into the economy. While the list of best earning dead celebrities has changed and altered over the years as new merchandise is produced using artists’ pictures and works, the significant players have remained genuinely unaltered and predictable in the course of recent years.

According to the Forbes list of top highest-paid dead celebrities of 2020, the King of Pop Michael Jackson is ranked first with $48 million. The runner-up Dr. Seuss doubled his income in 2020 to $33 million by a series of television and film deals, although the major source of cash remains his books. Forbes ranked the King of Rock and Roll Elvis Presley in fifth place, with estimated earnings of US$23 million. The deceased basketball player Kobe Bryant who died in a helicopter crash is ranked 6th with $20 million.

Young rapper Juice WRLD who died of an accidental drug overuse in 2019 also features in this list with an earnings of $15 million. His music streamed after his demise in December, only nine months after the arrival of his subsequent collection, Death Race for Love.

Reggae legend Bob Marley is placed eighth on the list with an estimated annual income of $14 million. Most of his earnings come from his music streams, his line of musical gadgets, sales of T-shirts, lighters and more.

While it’s unfortunate that they are no more here sharing their art with us, their previously shared masterpieces are still being admired and appreciated and for that their legacy keeps on living and fortune being added to their family’s name and for all good reason!
