Best cooking hacks for your kitchen!

Anything to make life even a tad bit easier is always much welcome and appreciated. And effective kitchen hacks are sure to become boons to several households.

This hack is sure to make your summers cooler than ice with leftover wine. Instead of letting wine oxidise in the refrigerator, pour it into an ice cube tray, top with plastic wrap to keep ice crystals at bay, and freeze. They can be used on the next day to add to soups, stews and more to add rings of flavour.

Hype up your caffeinated drinks with cubes of coffee blend frozen to perfection. Pour coffee blend into an ice cube tray and freeze to enjoy your favourite drink without watering down their taste using standard ice cubes.

Reduce all chances of waste or overrating this Christmas season with the new favourite mug-cakes. Coat a mug with nonstick spray, followed by breaking an egg inside. Whisk until even in consistency, follow it by mixing in ¼ cup nut butter or Nutella. Microwave for 1 minute and you have your mushy dessert that isn’t too unhealthy.

Everyone loves a chilled bubbly and sometimes it can be difficult chilling our wine fast. You can however solve that problem with a tall pitcher about the size of your wine bottle and fill it up with ice water. Immerse your wine bottle in it with a handful of salt and turn it every few minutes or so. You’ll be surprised at how fast your wine chills!

Fat is that part of the everyday diet that all of us want to avoid at all costs and yet seem unable to. Now you can remove excess fat from your meatballs and other favourite recipes by simply placing them on a baking rack while baking. This will help the extra fat drip without compromising on the brown, caramelised exterior that we all love.
