Celebrity business ventures that didn’t do so well

Most of the celebrities after getting famous tend to come up with their start-up or launch their product. As they know that their name is enough to make a product sell, this perk encourages them to come up with a business.

However, one thing is clear, that because of numerous reasons, some celebrities have failed in building a successful business. The reason can be anything like poor business management, lack of experience, bad quality products, and more.

Flop celebrity business ventures:

Steven Spielberg- Dive! Restaurant

He is an American film director, producer, and writer. In May 1994 Steven came up with the idea of opening Dive! Restaurant in Los Angeles, California. Dive! was a 300-seat restaurant, shaped like a neon-yellow submarine, and was a popular hangout of celebrities until it closed in January 1999.

Natalie Portman- Vegan-Friendly Footwear

She is an Israeli-born American actress and director. Natalie started with her acting career at the age of 12 and is also an advocate for animal rights. She only wears clothing and shoes that are not made of animal by-products. In 2008, Natalie came up with Vegan-Friendly Footwear and collaborated with designer Te Casan. This brand included shoes that were made without harming animals. It closed down within a year in December 2008 as the price tag was a bit high.

Heidi Montag- Heidiwood Clothes

Heidi is an American reality television personality, singer, and actress who is born and raised in Crested Butte. In 2008 her clothes were available at Anchor Blue stores, priced between $10 to $60 that aimed at teenage girls. But later because of the low price it got closed as people believe that it was of bad quality.

Till now it clear that when it comes to business, it’s not always about name and fame. It’s about quality and management as well. This is the reason many celebrities failed badly in business.
