Digital Marketing Stunts That Worked Wonders

The digital world is a weird, unpredictable place. Yes, a little more weird and unpredictable than the real world. When it comes to digital marketing, content creators and digital marketers go all out and are not scared to try new things.

Needless to say, sometimes it works wonders and sometimes it fails miserably. Let’s see the ones that worked…

  • KFC: KFC is renowned globally. They wanted to develop brand engagement and increase their presence on social media. KFC came up with various successful campaigns like Radio KFC RK Hunt, designing their own bucket campaign, Currycature, and Wow Menu option. These campaigns increased their engagement thrice more than the average rate. KFC was also listed among the five fastest-growing social media brands in India.
  • Swiggy: Swiggy had an excellent year of marketing campaigns that skyrocketed their reach. They had really fun and engaging campaigns. With the launch of voice notes in DMs feature on Instagram the audience was challenged to send Swiggy a voice note via DM where the shape of the soundwave they created while sending the voice note had to resemble the form of a dish that Swiggy posted that day. Dishes included shawarma, kebab skewer, fish and pancake stack. They received 1.5 lakh DMs in just 10 days and the winners were entitled to vouchers for an entire year!

Amazon Prime: Amazon Prime aced Moment Marketing (jumping onto a trend and leveraging it for your brand) phenomenally! Remember when Rahul Bose tweeted about being charged Rs. 442.50 for two bananas at a luxury hotel and it was all over social media? Amazon Prime’s response went viral as their target audience is digitally savvy and has a wicked sense of humor. They used this to their advantage and achieved what months of work and expensive bids from agencies can’t get sometimes.
