Has this current situation given the best opportunity for people to put forth their art and creativity?

Since the past one year or so the world has not seen the light of the day. By this I mean the pandemic and the consequences that it has brought along. People are stuck inside their houses and there seems to be no escape! While all this has been frustrating, a little ray of happiness has been seen on people.

While we were locked inside our house, it was an opportunity for people to do what they love. And what better than art! Art has always been therapeutic and a guaranteed stress-buster. In times when the WFH stress increased, people sought solace in art and creativity.

This quarantine, whether people were all alone or with their families, art has been a go-to for them. All those people who had succumbed to the pressure of work showed their creative side during the lockdown.

It was as if art and creativity were there when nothing else was! The creativity that had gotten lost suddenly came back. Creativity not only terms of art, but people found creative ways of doing regular things. Like, cleaning the house found creativity, those long Zoom calls with the family saw creativity with people dressing up as different characters. It seems like art was always there, only people had to find it. And this current situation has created the perfect opportunity for thar.

Lots of people created Instagram pages to showcase their creativity. From art, fashion, food and writing Instagram saw it all. A lot of these people also discovered their talents for the fist time in this lockdown. From simple housewives to office going people, everyone had something to show.

It is very rare that you get to see so much enthusiasm for art and creativity. I guess this pandemic hasn’t been all that bad. So, what are you waiting for? Pick your brush up and let your inner Picasso shine!
