How product reviews can influence a consumer.

It is a common phenomenon to be doubtful of claims made by a company about their own products. They are meant to toot their horn, exaggerate features and make them more attractive to be purchased by clients. This makes them a bad source of feedback for the consumer to rely on. However, if the same things are told to them by a fellow consumer who has had experience with the brand, they are more likely to be believed. Shopping online has made everything much easier and more convenient but this has also given people an ever-expanding array of choices which can be very confusing. To remedy this consumers almost always rely on the feedback available for the brand and the brand’s positive or negative presence. They need to make sure that the business they are going to be purchasing from are credible and trustworthy. This can only be backed by proof from other previous consumers giving feedback in the company’s favor.

If a product has a majority or negative feedbacks then as a consumer, you will be discouraged from making the purchase as these testimonials are given by people who’ve already had experience with the brand’s product or brand and do not recommend it.

Reviews are reassuring as they can instill confidence in the consumer to go ahead with the purchase being fully assured that the product they will receive will be a quality product while the will also not be scammed of their money. Reviews can essentially persuade a consumer to buy a product that they might have not been even looking to buy but a review stating some unique feature of the product could remind them that they need that.

A consumer often wants to interact with the brand they love and keep an amiable relation so that they keep receiving services and goods that are at par with the quality they desire. Reviews are a great way to do that as well. Once a consumer has bonded with the brand adequately, they normally stay loyal to it and advocate in your favor too.
