More Isn’t Always Better; Don’t Make Content Just For The Sake Of Putting Your Brand Out There

A marketing approach based on creating and distributing valuable content is content marketing but here are a lot of misconceptions about the same. Technology evolution and social media can either work your way or fail miserably for you.

Points to remember:

  • The same content may work on one channel and fail on another.
  • Frequency and consistency are important.
  • Don’t overdo it. Post a moderate amount of content but not so much that your audience gets fed up.
  • A multi-channel or omnichannel approach is excellent but research on what type of content your audience likes and the frequency.
  • Quality over quantity always. Engage your audience with quality content that leaves an impact.
  • Know what kind of content works best for your brand. People get attracted to entertaining content like memes.

Your content should be such that even if you share one post your audience should connect to it, be entertained and remember it. Let’s say you posted a blog this week and two last week. But the response to the one this week is better than the two you posted last week. Monitor the response to your content. See what works the best for you.
