Playing off the field.

Sports for us is truly an emotion, isn’t it? We end up getting goosebumps whenever our favorite team wins. We indulge ourselves so much into it that after a point wins and losses start to feel personal. A kind of adrenaline rushes across our body when we watch sports.

But apart from this, we adore the people playing that sport as well. Sports players are hardworking, dedicated and all things great. They are the real superstars in every sense and deserve every ounce of appreciation. When a sports star performs well, he receives lots of accolades. But along with that, he is also bombarded with endorsement offers from different brands.

Today, the world of sport is such, that anyone who performs well will be the first one to receive brand endorsements. If their performance drops even for a bit they lose out on multiple deals. Sports as a field has become highly commercial and so have celebrities. Their net worth is judged based on the deals they sign and the brands that they have in hand. Their presence and engagement on social media also play a major role in offering them paid partnerships.

Here are a few sports superstars who have the maximum number of endorsements.

Cristiano Ronaldo:

A GOAT in every sense, Cristiano Ronaldo is a football giant with the highest number of endorsements in his kitty. For starters, he has signed a lifetime contract with Nike Inc. which is worth around 1 million dollars. Apart from this, he has deals and partnerships with brands like Herbalife Nutrition, KFC, American Tourister, and TAG Heuer. His most unique partnership is with Egypt steels, a company trying to make it big in the Egyptian market. Along with this, the soccer superstar has his own clothing line under the name of CR7. Cristiano’s net earnings in 2019 was said to be somewhere around a staggering 109 million dollars.

Virat Kohli:

Virat Kohli, the cricket superstar has the highest number of endorsements among Indian sportspersons. Along with being the best player in the world, he is the best off the field too. Just like his flamboyance on the field, his brand choices are classy as well. To start with, in 2015, Kohli signed a 5-crore endorsement deal with Audi. He promotes other brands like Uber, Volini, Tissot, Boost, and MRF to name a few. Some years ago, he co-created his own brand with Puma under the name of One8. According to Forbes, the Indian captain’s brand value is around 14.5 million dollars which is higher than the Argentinian footballer Leonel Messi.

Michael Jordan:

This Basketball superstar is not only the best on the field, but is the best off the field as well. With several endorsements lined up, his brand value is almost around 12.7 million dollars today.
