In today’s world, trusting any news agency for correct and accurate news is a very tough decision to make. The Onion, considered to be the most popular and satirical news site on the internet has tricked many people into thinking some of the stories are real. They focus on fictional and non-fictional news while trying to parody the way in which traditional news is delivered. Their humor is mainly in presenting ordinary and mundane facts as prime-time breaking news.

The founder of The Onion news agency claimed that they run a satire news agency and don’t publish any fake news. Moreover, he added, the controversy in which the company was blamed to have misled many people into believing fake news, was an accident. 

The Onion accidentally published news about a full-scale investigation being conducted by a dinner party to know whether the tip was included in the bill and another funny news was that Barrack Obama promised to spend a night in the amusement park. 

There can be many, satirical fake news agency similar to The Onion, that can mislead the mass by publishing fake news. The way to avoid this unimportant news is referring to other news websites or channels and then decide which one you want to believe. Additionally, in this society, where people are more dependent on news channels and websites to know about their surroundings and what’s happening in their country, there should be some morals.
