Tips For Introverts And Extroverts To Survive Quarantine

Introverts are those who enjoy being alone, and extroverts get energy from being around other people. But, with the rise of the Coronavirus, many people have changed their lifestyle and behavior. We may consider the social distancing time as a blessing for an introvert. Whereas staying at home in isolation gives people a unique set of challenges who are revitalized and inspired by being around others. Extroverts are social creatures, and their desire to be around other people is essential. Introverts, however, may face the fear of loneliness because they are all alone and lack any social support.

Thus, whether you are an introvert or an extrovert, here are some tips that may help:

Introverts:

  1. Schedule social time once a day- If you are missing all the fun of office and college breaks, then start with a video call with your best friend, family, or even cousins for at least 15 minutes.
  2. Read more, Write more- One thing you can always try is reading. Reading will help you to feel relaxed. Also, you can try writing your thoughts and feelings in a diary to clear your mind.

Extroverts:

  1. Get a hobby- Utilize this time to do what you love. Draw, dance, sing, play an instrument, and so forth. It’s the perfect time to make yourself artistic. Not just for extroverts, but introverts can also pursue their hobbies.
  2. Decorate your house- It’s the perfect chance to give your house a fresh look. Clean your home, rearrange your things, discard or donate any unwanted stuff. Keep yourself busy with something so that you won’t miss the life before the pandemic.

Although, extroverts should know that they have the upper-hand here. Whenever they need assistance and support, they will naturally communicate with individuals over video calls. Several psychology professors said that introverts would have a rough time because if they stick to themselves, it is difficult for them to get social support. But with togetherness and patience, we can win this battle too.
