Ads from the past that everyone can still recall.

We watch TV on an everyday basis. There are so many advertisements that come and go and we never seem to notice them. But there are a few that just stand out. It may be because of the jingles, because of creativity or because of the relatability. Either way, some advertisements just stay with us forever. Let’s have a look at some of such advertisements that had come out a long time ago but still have that recall factor about them.

Google Search Reunion: This advertisement alone is better than so many films. It is beautifully shot with a beautiful message while promoting the product effectively. The advertisement features an old man talking about his childhood friend to his grand-daughter. The man hasn’t seen his friend since the partition happened. One thing that the man tells his grand-daughter about is a sweet that the two friends used to eat when they were little. This becomes the crux of it all and she ends up uniting the two friends with the help of Google. The music, the actors and the cinematography will leave you smiling yet tearing up a bit in the end.

Samsung Beh Chala: If you haven’t seen this advertisement then you must. It is such a stunning and well-thought ad. The ad features a customer service specialist that visits a place in the North East India showing the hills while the car moves. He comes and repairs the Samsung TV only to find out that there are visually impaired children waiting for the TV to be repaired so that they can hear their friend sing on a reality show. The ad is beautifully shot and the music is absolutely peaceful. The advertisement not only is beautiful to look at but also puts forward that their after service is great. A perfect way to promote a product.

Badshah Masala: The list would be incomplete if we didn’t add this classic advertisement to the list. This is an advertisement that we have grown up watching and the recall factor that this brand has is something else. The beats are quirky, the setting is so relatable and the product is something that we all use as well. A total blockbuster advertisement.

Nirma: “Hema, Rekha, Jaya aur Sushma…” we know you can sing the rest and probably would’ve too. If there is one ad that changed the way jiggles are used in the advertisements, then it is probably going to be this ad. It is such a happy and quirky advertisement and also has a sense of nostalgia attached to it. We have sung it then and our younger ones are singing now. This brand has sustained time and how. A classic one for sure.

Cadbury, Pehli Taarik Hai: Cadbury has come up with so many advertisements but there is one that is still fresh in our minds, then it Aaj Pehli Taarik Hai. The ad features a bunch of employees distributing Cadbury as it is the 1st of the month and they would be receiving their salary. It in a way depicts that happiness=Cadbury and the ad also went on to be successful. Till date, we always end up giving Cadbury if we are happy. This is the effect that this advertisement had.
