In house vs outsourcing in marketing Which is better for your company

As a marketer, one always struggles to understand what strategy would perfectly fit the business or that will be beneficial for the company. They are in a constant dilemma about choosing the correct form that would prove to be successful for the company. In-house marketing and outsourcing are always in comparison regarding which is better for a company. Let’s end this debate.

Before we start the comparison, lets know what in-house and outsourcing means. In-house marketing is where the company is well-equipped with people who can carry out the entire marketing process on their own. On the other hand, outsourcing means to hire somebody to carry out the marketing work where there are people appoint that have the expertise in various departments like PR, social media, etc.

If you have a lower budget then it becomes easier for a company to go for in-house marketing as it the company putting in the efforts and working for you. On the other hand, while outsourcing you do need to have a higher budget.

Another point is, in in-house marketing the team knows the company better which is why it becomes easier for them to analyse what would work for the company and what wouldn’t. Similarly, while outsourcing it might become a little difficult to make an agency understand what the company wants and needs.

Lastly, during in-house marketing the company and its employees do tend to have a lot of pressure of managing the marketing and doing the job efficiently. On the other hand, in outsourcing since a specific group of experts are appointed, they do their job and only concentrate on doing a specific thing and not all.

Marketing a product or a brand can be very difficult which is why every company has their own set of do’s and don’ts. To each of its own. Every company is different and would take up the form which would work for them the best.
