Biggest athletes and their massive income from brand endorsements!

Celebrity sponsorships are used to build and strengthen fan promotions as they effectively enhance the engagement that fans have with that very product. Sport stars live their lives in the public eye even off the court so its only natural for brands to want to cash in on this kind of exposure, where they are not only represented by the sportsman on court while participating but also as a part of their mundane life.

When it comes to Sportsman and their endorsements, it is only natural that Cristiano Ronaldo being one of world’s most renowned sportsman has teamed up with the world’s biggest sports brand Nike. Cristiano has a lifetimes endorsement deal with Nike that is even more than a whooping one billion USD. This makes him the most rich Nike sponsored athlete. It does not just end there, Ronaldo has cashed in on sponsorships from many other brands like Herbalife and American Tourister.

Roger Federer is a great example alongside with the sportsman’s individual brand being so big that it ends up eclipsing the endorser’s brand. His deal with Nike had Nike stores all over the world flocked with dedicated fans lining up to buy the same court shoes as him for years! Recently however the 20 time Grand Slam winner has decided to ditch Nike for the Japanese designer, Uniqlo. Raking in over 300 million USD, it is still one of the biggest endorsement deals of all time.

The sports giant, Adidas have been gearing Lionel Messi up for years and while the endorsement deal is not as impressive for the second highest paid athlete in the world, Messi is still the highest paid endorsement deal of Adidas with a 27 million USD deal.
