Celebrities that we sadly lost in 2020

2020 was the year nobody wants to remember and also want to delete. This year was a nightmare for everyone as it was filled with darkness with no beam of light shining bright. In times like these, entertainment industry and celebrities always try to make us smile with their content but this year was hard on them too. We ended up losing some of the most celebrated artists ever. There might have left the world, but how will they leave our hearts?

Jagdeep: Jagdeep passed away on 8th July this year leaving a print of his in our hearts. He was an ace actor whose comic timing was enough to tickle us with laughter. Those laughs will never be back again and those memories that he gave us will never fade. Sholay will never be the same without him and Soorma Bhopali will forever be alive in our hearts.

Irrfan Khan: Bollywood industry’s light breath his last on 29th April this year. Irrfan was battling cancer since 2018 and his health was deteriorating. His filmography is never-ending and so was his love for cinema. We never knew what “real” acting was until he arrived and made us all his forever fan. From Hindi Medium to Angrezi, from Piku to Maqbool, Irrfan made us all laugh, cry and smile. He can never be replaced, neither in movies nor in our hearts. He was not for “Namesake” in the industry, he contributed like no one else.

Saroj Khan: If dance was a person, it would be her. Ace choreographer Saroj Khan passed away on 3rd July this year following a cardiac arrest. His contribution to movies was immense. Most of us have grown up dancing to her songs and whistling to on every expression she made. She made dance look like her soulmate, as if they were meant to be. Our Bollywood dreams were shattered the day she passed away. We wish we could say, “Dhak Dhak karne laga” one last time to her when we see her.

Sushant Singh Rajput: Our Anni, our Ishaan, our Mansoor, our Manny and most importantly our Sushant passed away on 14th June this year breaking and shattering millions of hearts. When Ms Dhoni was released, we went inside being a Dhoni fan and came out being his. A leap of success from television to films had not been easy for him but he made it look effortless. He was a charmer, still is and will forever be.Wajid Khan: Wajid Khan of the Sajid-Wajid duo passed away on 1st June this year. When we say this year has been harsh, we really mean it. The fame of Sajid-Wajid songs will not be the same without him. His quirky and energetic songs, Jalwa, Fevicol se and Chinta ta will forever ring in our ears. Gift of music is the greatest gift and he gifted the world his songs. A through artist in every way.
