Life is as unpredictable as a roller-coaster ride. We never know what ups and downs we are about to encounter. So it’s important that we help others and act as a source of vitality for them and support them in their tough phases. There have been innumerable songwriters and music composers that have exemplified charity, empathy, and selfless acts through their music. In this article, we’re going to share some of the encouraging songs about helping those in need:

  1. Runaway Train – Soul Asylum 
    With the lyrics that stuck in people’s minds all across the world, this song was created with a cause of missing children. Lyrics say, “Can you help me remember how to smile? Make it somehow all seem worthwhile.” Released in 1993, this song highlighted names and pictures of 36 lost kids out of which 26 were located.
  2. Just Another Day In Paradise – Phil Collins
    In an attempt to support homeless people with this song, Collins, like many others, was chastised for being an affluent person abusing the causes for personal gain. The song features lyrics that say, “She calls out to a man on the street, he can see she is been crying. She got blisters on the soles of her feet, she can’t walk but she is trying.”
  3. Something to believe in – Poison
    Poison covers various grounds in this song including veterans, poverty, homelessness, loss, and disillusionment. “I drive by the homeless sleeping on a cold dark street, like bodies in an open grave,” are the lyrics that will be stuck in your mind while read “Jesus Saves” underneath the ancient neon sign.
