Instagram Influencers are in a tight spot

Imagine your career is dependent on going out in public, but you can’t do it right now. This is what pandemic has done to the Instagram influencers. You may be following many Instagram influencers who never let grass grow under their feet but may not have updated their next vlog or sold any product to you. Thanks to Covid-19.

Although many people have been criticizing Instagram influencers for their flamboyant lifestyle, many have attracted brand sponsorship. No wonder many Instagram influencers are trying different strategies to make their ends meet. Let us analyze why coronavirus could change the influencer-marketing industry.

  • No place to go: Many content creators have shared their stories on their social media handles about their unemployment for months. It gives us an insight that this pandemic has spared no one. Many influencers were into regular traveling, but due to lockdown, they cannot go anywhere without any valid reason. Since many tourist spots are not fully opened, it has created a tight spot for travel bloggers.
  • No place to collab: Many collab houses are still struggling to get out of this economic turmoil. With many famous clubhouses and party places are closed down or bankrupted. This situation has no easy out for Instagram influencers to boast their fancy life and attract more followers. Many influencers have admitted that the engagement on sponsored posts have soared.

As we can see, if the situation gets worse, then the influencer-marketing industry will take a long time to recover to its normal position. It is hard to say how these influencers will continue their influence on their followers. The good news is in some countries, the process of unlocking the nationwide lockdown has begun. This news may spread a sense of relief among influencers, but it’s hard to say if things will become normal anytime soon as the world is still trapped in the clutches of this pandemic.
