Pinterest, the calmest type of social media!

Pinterest is a picture-based media network and a search engine. It has a wide range of information and ideas ranging from recipes to style inspiration and much more. Pinterest supports its platform with beautiful images as the focus and apt descriptions of the product along with links and virtual boards or pins in the app itself for easy future references by the pinners. Similarly, like any social media platform, Pinterest has also provided its users with the messaging feature as well, where people follow each other with a common interest or same mind and converse on it.

In an interview with the New York Times, Ben Silbermann, chief executive of Pinterest, voiced his opinion of not introducing this web service into the toxic water of competing aimlessly. He aims Pinterest to be a safe and happy place for its users and doesn’t want to turn its focus of changing this into a fast-moving, addiction inducing and growth chasing company. This is one of the reasons that Pinterest is one of the calmest types of social media with the belief of growing with time and not rushing into the deep waters, unlike Facebook and Instagram in terms of addiction and anxiety.

Pinterest is not only limited to browsing and surfing only.  Pinterest has developed into a profoundly successful selling device for online organizations because of its visual nature and the retail-friendly crowd. It is exceptionally focused on a huge 81% female client base and 175 million monthly users which makes this, a not so calm type of social media and contributes strongly to E-Commerce sales. Sales and building brand relationships with users are one of the main focuses and users can shop with a simple click on the image on this platform which makes it convenient and an important platform for marketing as well without any ado.
