TV shows with life hacks

What do we do when we are bored? Watch something on the television, as it calms us down and also gives us immense joy and pleasure. There are so many tv shows available these days, so we have a variety to choose from. Shows are ranging from different genres, so there is something for everyone. There are few shows that apart from providing entertainment, also impart some life lessons or life hacks, as we like to say. What is better than being entertained while learning something new? Let’s have a look at some of the best shows that taught us some life lessons and provided us with a new perception of life.

Friends: It would be unfair if Friends wasn’t on this list, as this incredibly humorous show threw light on some of the most crucial things and presented it in the best way possible. One of the things that stick out is friendship. It taught us that true friendship may have problems and issues but it will sustain. It taught us the true meaning of what friendship means. Friendship takes effort, sacrifice and one has to work for it to last long, but in the end, it’s all worth it. Be it Monica sacrificing the name “Emma” for Rachel or Ross buying Phoebe her first bike, all these moments will forever be living in our hearts.

Game of Thrones: Probably one of the darkest, grittiest, and most complex show ever, Game of Thrones taught us a lot of life hacks that work like wonders. One of them is accepting yourself. Everyone is flawed and no one is perfect, but having the confidence to accept what you are, takes guts. Tyrion Lannister, who is a dwarf that is hated by his sister and father accepts himself as he is. He says “Never forget what you are. The rest of the world will not. Wear it like armor, it can never be used to hurt you”. It simply means, know your worth and show it to the world. Accepting yourself and putting yourself out there is important, the world can adjust.

Grey’s Anatomy: This show has so many wonderful life lessons that we can surely apply in our lives, but the thing that sticks out the most is to live life on your terms. There are so many instances in the show, where people are judging Meredith and Derek, but they sure don’t care. It doesn’t matter as long as you are happy. Of course, you might make some mistakes and regret them later on, but that’s how you learn. No one can make you happy, other than yourself, so do what you like and what makes your heart satisfied.

Suits: As dramatic and incredibly addictive this show was, it taught us to be vulnerable. There is nothing wrong with being sensitive and vulnerable. As much as one would like to keep a strong exterior, there is something that will break him/her. Everyone has trigger points, and there is nothing wrong with it. Harvey Specter, being the charming lawyer that he is and that always has his game up his sleeves also has a breaking point. The show helped us understand that it’s okay to be emotional and that one always doesn’t need to put a strong face on. We’re humans at the end of the day, we express, and it’s perfectly alright.
