Underrated singers you should check out
Music soothes our soul and relaxes our mind. It is the best way to shut the world up and get lost in the paradise. Music is that magic, and the one that makes that music is a magician. We are blessed, rather our ears are blessed as we have incredible talent in the form of singers that make our heart happy with the way they sing and the way they perform, but do all of them get enough attention? Well, the answer is no. There are a lot of underrated artists and bands that need attention and the generation must value them more because talents come and go without getting recognised, all because of us.
Lucky Ali: Gems like “Oh Sanam” and “Safarnama” are just an example of how incredibly talented this man is. His video singing Oh Sanam just went viral and we couldn’t be more glad. If there is one artist that can make our hearts sway mere by singing “Umm”, then it has to be Lucky Ali. His songs make us escape reality and take us out to travel the world. He was way ahead of his time. The music, the composition, the vocals, the music videos, the list can go on and on, but this man deserves every bit of it. “Ek pal ka jeena, phir toh hai jana”, but we don’t want that to happen with our Lucky Ali, we want him to stay forever because gems like these don’t come around that often.
The Local Train: This band is Magical, that’s all we can say. The Local Train is a band from New Delhi that consists of 4 incredibly talented members. They rose to fame and the people to listen to them love them, but they still are criminally underrated. Songs like “Aaoge tum kabhi” and “Choo lo” are sheer examples of how mature and beautiful their songs are. In the world of “Messages”, they still make us feel like “Hand written letter” which is their strength. If you haven’t heard them yet, do yourself a favour and listen to them, they deserve the love and attention like none other.
Euphoria: If anyone understood and introduced us to “Indie-Rock Music” and made us fall in love with it, then that was Euphoria. Euphoria is a band formed in Delhi by Palash Sen in 1988 and it took the music word by storm. It is extremely disheartening that people these days don’t know much about it but this band is every bit of amazing. “Maeri” and “Kabhi aana tu meri gali” are food to our soul and we wish everyone feels the same. Listen to Euphoria and you will understand what pure music is, music that will always stay fresh and never lose its newness.
Mohit Chauhan: “Phir se ud chala” and “Tum se hi” are just an example in his illustrious list of songs in his career. His songs are a super hit, no doubt about it, but he as a singer didn’t get his due and credit. His career has gone through stages of success and failures, like everyone in the industry does but he never got the attention and appreciation he deserved. His vocals are incredible and Rockstar will forever be an iconic album because of his voice. He is incredibly talented and people needs to understand that.
Jasleen Royal: “Din Shagna Da”, the song went viral after Anushka Sharma played this at her wedding but unfortunately the singer didn’t. Her voice is incredibly unique and beautiful but she is not as known as others. Her songs like “Love you Zindagi” and “Nachde ne sare” are quite popular but not many know the face behind these stunning songs. It’s high time she gets the credit and due that deserves.
