Charity begins at Home

It takes heart to give someone something that you earned for yourself with your hard work. Everyone works hard to earn a good living and to fulfill their dreams, but, there are only so many that work to give others a livelihood and fulfill their dreams. Charity is something that one does from their heart, no one can force somebody to donate money, it all must come from a kind heart. There are a lot of celebrities that are working towards providing a better life to people as well as animals who need it. Let’s have a look at them.

Nana Patekar: It is only fair if we start the list with this legend’s name. A terrific actor and a better human being, Nana Patekar still leads a very simple and grounded life. He donates all the extra money he earns to the ones in need. He runs a foundation that has collected over 22 crores from the public for the welfare of the farmers. Not just that, he donated Rs. 15,000 each to all the farmer’s widows in Maharashtra. He donated almost 90% of his earnings to the ones in need, as that’s what real-life heroes do.  

Priyanka Chopra: Our desi girl is surely a stunning actress and just as wonderful as a person. Priyanka has been associated with UNICEF since 2006 and continues to be an active member. She runs a foundation called “The Priyanka Chopra Foundation for Education and Health” and donates 10% of her annual earnings to it. Not just that, she also was an active member of the “Save the Girl Child” campaign and promoted. She also pledged to donate her organs, encouraging others to do the same.

Rahul Bose: Rahul Bose is one of the most talented yet underrated actors of this generation who tries to stay away from the limelight as much as possible. But his actions don’t need words as he constantly strives to work for a better living. He focuses on providing better education to children that belong to lower economic backgrounds in the islands of Andaman and Nicobar. He is also the founder of “The Group of Groups” which includes 51 charitable organizations. He is successfully working in providing a better life to people in need. 

Shilpa Shetty Kundra: There is no way we can conclude the list without adding Shilpa Shetty Kundra’s name on it. Shilpa donated the money that she won on Big Brother to the AIDS awareness campaign in India. She is also an active supporter of PETA as well as Act Against Bullying that helps students in India fight against bullying.
